The inside scoop on life in Champoluc
Sunday 28th December 2025
This week was CHRISTMAS WEEK! What fun has been had in resort….
From mid day on Christmas Eve, until Boxing Day morning there was a decent dump of snow in village. Giving us a truly “white Christmas”! More than 30cm came down all over the valley and even to some of the lower villages such as Brusson.
Our guests have had a very enjoyable Christmas in Champoluc and so have the Brown family. With Simon’s in-laws here, he spent the week accommodating the most VIP guests we have. Taking them for delicious meals, especially at the Petit Tournalin on Monday. Blue d’Aoste fondue for antipasto, pumpkin cappellacci with clarified butter for starter, slow braised pork shank for main and pistachio crumble for dessert. Very spoilt by the lovely family that run the Petit T! More Christmas food festivities were had with a fish pie on Christmas Eve, followed by a traditional, British Christmas dinner, cooked by the boss himself!
As the week comes to an end, our bellies full of left over roast, the snow dump has transformed Champoluc into a winter wonderland as we prepare for the celebrations of new year in the week ahead!
