Skiing in Champoluc is AMAZING – whether you’re carving up the slopes with family or having a blast with your ski school group. The best part? Everyone is super friendly, so if you ever need help, just ask!

Morning: Wake Up, Gear Up, and Hit the Slopes
A ski school day starts with a delicious breakfast (very important for all the energy you’ll need!). Then, it’s time to get ready – ski gear on, boots strapped up, and off to the main office to collect your skis.
Next, you hop on a ski lift up the mountain. If you’re early, you might sneak in a quick practice run before meeting your ski group. The ski groups are great because you get to make loads of new friends, and the instructors make everything really fun.
Skiing, Snacks & The GOAT!
The morning starts with practice runs on the smaller slopes before heading up higher for some proper skiing. And then, the BIG challenge… The GOAT!
This is one of the harder runs in Champoluc, and everyone talks about it! The first part is super steep (it looks scary at first), but once you get past that, it’s so much fun – bumpy, wide, and perfect for jumps. Definitely my favourite run!
Oh, and don’t forget snacks. Bring A LOT. You’ll thank me later!

Lunch Break (Pizza? Pasta? Yes, Please!)
Midway through the day, we stop for lunch at one of the mountain restaurants. Pizza or pasta is usually on the menu, but there are other options too. It’s the perfect way to refuel before an afternoon of more skiing.
Afternoon: More Skiing, More Fun
After lunch, we head back out for more amazing runs. Some days, we get to do the fun run – it’s a little further across the slopes but totally worth it.
As the ski day comes to an end, there’s still time to ski with family, have a hot chocolate, or (my favourite part) race my cousins down to the village.
Après-Ski: Snow Angels & Warm Pools
We stayed at La Rouja, and the best thing after a long ski day? Jumping into the warm outdoor pool! We even made snow angels before running back into the water – it was freezing but SO fun. And let’s not forget the kids’ massages – absolute bliss after all that skiing!
Final Thoughts – Should You Go to Ski School?
YES! Ski school in Champoluc is awesome. If you’re nervous, don’t be – you’ll make friends, have a great time, and get really good at skiing. Just remember:
- Always bring lots of snacks
- Have fun!
See you on the slopes!
