Greeted with huge genuine smiles by Ski Champoluc on arrival in resort, after a lovely scenic drive up the mountain whilst popping open a bottle of Spumante, which was in our welcome pack, kindly offered by our driver when arriving at the airport – much appreciated!

Skis and boots fitted with ease by Ski Champoluc ski hire, a wide range of skis to accommodate all abilities.

A lovely warm welcome from the office girls, Greta, Val and Kelly as they tell us everything we need to know about Champoluc and our week away. Ranging from ski passes, ski maps and lunch vouchers (with recommendations), to information about activities we can do on and off the slopes and importantly all we need to know about ski school for the children starting the next day.

We are then driven round to our hotel where we are greeted with another warm welcome. We can feel the traditional Italian Alps vibes as we take in the sweet smells incorporating the traditional Italian wood and spa mountain aroma.

We relaxed into the evening with a luxurious swim in the pool of the hotel, looking out at the snowy Italian mountains as we stayed warm in the bubbles of the hot tub.

After a quick shower and change we make our way downstairs to a stunning 4 course evening meal, which consists of an antipasto and then a choice of pasta and good meats followed by a stunning main course, with choices of meat including steaks or a selection of fish. Personally, I always go for the vegetarian option, they accommodate all types of dietary requirements, which were pre considered a week before, communicated to the hotel through the Ski Champoluc team.

The children (in bed), we enjoy a Digestivo in the alpine bar as we chat to other guests in the hotel, who are also on holiday with Ski Champoluc. Going to bed with a warm buzz, excited to hit the slopes tomorrow after dropping the kids off at ski school. I can’t wait!
