our story

Simon Brown and his wife, Ruth, moved to Champoluc in the winter of 1999. With a dream of living in the mountains, bringing up their family while running a ski holiday company with a difference. Throughout the years and three children later Simon and Ruth have become a part of the Champoluc community with the kids not only attending school in Italy but all becoming expert skiers for the local ski club.

what we offer

We offer bespoke, tailor-made holidays for every client.  Our knowledge of the area; hotels, ski schools, restaurants and local suppliers, makes us best placed to tailor you a holiday that fits exactly your need.

We offer a tailor made experience that includes:

  • Airport Transfers – individual transfers for you direct to our resort 
  • Hotel bookings – tailored to your specific needs we know which hotel is best
  • Ski hire – lets us do the hard work, we have ski/boot hire arranged before you arrive, to take out that first morning stress
  • Ski lessons – tailored to your individual needs we arrange group, children or private lessons
  • Adventure packages – if you are looking for something more bespoke we can arrange anything from spa days, walking, snow shoeing, off-piste guiding to heli-skiing – nothing is out of the question
  • Evening entertainment – we can recommend the best places to eat and make all the arrangements so you only need turn up and enjoy!

We have known many of our suppliers for years, most who have become good friends. In fact, a lot of our suppliers regard themselves as part of the Ski Champoluc Team!!

Our office, situated next to our ski hire at the bottom of the main gondola, is open 8am to 6pm daily. The team is on hand to book lessons, guiding, restaurants etc or to answer any questions. From the office our resort minibus ‘Bertha’ is available all day to run our guests around the village or to / from the funicular tram at Frachey

Where we offer it

Champoluc is often referred to as a ‘hidden gem’, not widely known on the British market, it is a beautiful Italian village that is strung out along a mountain road.  With classic ski resort ambience, whilst still retaining its Alpine charm, Champoluc is perfect.  With more hotels that many other resorts nearby there is an abundance of choice to have the perfect tailored holiday.

Brilliantly linked, Champoluc is the largest of the resorts in the Monterosa region.  It is part of a huge ski area known as the ‘Three Valleys’ with over 175km of skiing.  Champoluc boasts amazing views of the region’s imposing glaciers and peaks.  The pistes are well renowned for being uncrowded and there is an abundance of off-piste waiting to be explored.

Simon is a veteran of the mountains, an expert skier himself (not that he has much time to ski), there is very little of this amazing mountain resort that he has left to conquer. In his 20 + years in Champoluc he has never tired of the beauty and community that this lovely village offer. Considered a ‘local’ he has built unquestionable relationships with the local hoteliers, businesses and resort community, giving him that unique position of being able to tailor the best deal and the perfect holiday for every client

Our team is backed up by our ski hire manager and assistant as well as our resort drivers. During our busy ‘family’ weeks we have our young ‘penguins’ who are there to assist mums and dads getting the little ones to ski school and helping with skis etc.

As ‘the family’ grew Kelly, Greta and Giada came on board to head up the rest of the Ski Champoluc Team and between them have over 40+ years of organising ski holidays to Champoluc. Kelly has worked with us for over 15 years. She lives in Champoluc in the winter months with her family. Her 2 boys go to the local school and both race with the local ski club. ‘Kel’ heads up our Resort Office and admin. She deals with all enquiries, both prior to travel and whilst our guests are in resort.Greta joined us 6 years ago and she first started working as a Nanny in our nursery. ‘G’ was born in Champoluc and obviously knows the village as much as anybody. She was an excellent ski racer as a teenager. She now assists Kelly in the day to day running of our office and ski hire.

It was lovely to be greeted by our own driver and the fizzy wine and crisps really made the holiday start with a bang. The best resort transfers that I've ever had - first class.

Our airport transfers. Everything went very smoothly, and the bottles of Prosecco were a nice welcoming touch, much appreciated. Champoluc Experience. I was glad it was not too crowded, and it had a happy welcoming atmosphere. The lack of queues for the lifts is a real attraction. Thanks for such a super holiday.

Thank you for another wonderful week skiing in Champoluc. Bruce and I were part of the Denton group last week staying at Le Rocher and once again we cannot speak highly enough of your Company and the excellent service you offer in all aspects of a ski trip here.
